The Brazilian jiu-jitsu phenomenon faced off against an MMA fighter in the inaugural Craig Jones Invitational at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas early Sunday morning.

The booking of the fight raised eyebrows, with several fans of the fight vehemently debating whether it should take place.
IBJJF Hall of Famer Garcia had all the physical advantages in the Sin City showdown.
The 38-year-old is muscular, standing 6’2 and weighing a whopping 107kg
Jones, on the other hand, is 6’0 and weighs 93 kg.
Garcia’s physical advantages didn’t matter as Jones dominated her from the start, dictating the pace of the first round before becoming more aggressive in the second.
He briefly caught Garcia in a twister and heel hook, but his reluctance to break Garcia’s leg forced the former ADCC champion to escape.
And just moments later, Aussie Jones stepped in to close out the performance, hitting the back goal.
Garcia did her best to get out of the submission, but tapped for a few seconds before appearing to briefly lose consciousness.
Footage of the finish went viral and sparked even more debate, with one fan onlooker saying: “Wait, this was a real fight?”

The shocking showdown between Jones and Garcia was first reported earlier this year.
The pair were involved in a heated confrontation earlier this week, in which they KISSED Garcia without her consent.
Garcia, 38, reacted angrily, saying: “You ab***h, man. Really? Fuck you, you crossed the line.”
Jones and Garcia’s cross-gender clash came after Imana Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The duo – who were born biologically female – competed in the Games after allegedly failing gender appropriateness tests.
The tests – carried out by the Russian-backed IBA – are said to have revealed XY chromosomes in both boxers
Despite the social media frenzy and misinformation about her, Khelif, 25, boxed masterfully to win gold in the welterweight division.
