Nick Jonas had an unforgettable welcome to Australia.
The musician was hit by waves while riding a boat through Sydney Harbor ahead of a Jonas Brothers performance on Friday, in a video shared on Instagram.
After someone asks him if he’s “good”, he gently looks away and picks up his drinks. He captioned the video, “Hello Australia. π¦πΊ π₯ @deleasa”

He took to his Instagram Story to take a look at the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House as he told his followers: “Sydney, it’s been a long time. We are so excited for tomorrow’s show. First time playing here.”
“Can’t wait for the show tomorrow night Sydney,” he wrote in a follow-up post. His brother Joe also shared a video from the boat and a photo of their brother Kevin on his Instagram Story.

Nick, like his brothers, experiences the role of dad on the road. With his wife Priyanka Chopra, Jonas shares a daughter, Malti Marie, born on January 15, 2022.
“This is the first time [Iβm] he’s touring as a father, and it’s a crazy new adventure every day,” Nick told PEOPLE during an exclusive chat amid the band’s August 2023 headlining tour.
“I think the biggest part of still being able to do this with them now is seeing the second generation of Jonas get to experience it and make it fresh for all of us in a whole new way. It’s going to be amazing,” he said.
Priyanka showed her support at the start of the tour by praising him in a sweet tribute on Instagram.

On fatherhood, Nick previously told PEOPLE that he and his brothers “wouldn’t be where we are as fathers without amazing women to make that dream come true.”
