The ugly fight was caught on camera by the horrified audience as Anton hit Ryan on the head with his guitar.

The pair wrestled on the ground and had to be separated by security before the gig ended.

A fight appeared to have broken out after Anton asked a bandmate to leave the stage.

“Cut this guy’s mic, put my guitar down, party’s over captain,” Anton can be heard telling Ryan.

He added, “We don’t really need you. To go. Put my guitar down on the stage and think about what’s going on.”

Ryan shot back, “You better think about this, man. Because this is forever!” before putting down his guitar and walking off stage.

The pair then began pushing each other before Anton hit Ryan with his guitar.

Footage of the violent confrontation soon went viral on social media as those who attended the concert uploaded clips.

“What a bunch of babies,” commented one.

Another claimed the brawl was no surprise, adding: “This was only a matter of time. I saw them pretty early on in the tour and the tension on stage was already thick as porridge.”

The group had nine dates on a 12-date tour of Australia and New Zealand, but the rest of the dates have now reportedly been cancelled.

Brian Jonestown Massacre, formed in San Francisco in 1990, has yet to release an official statement about the incident and their future as a group.

The Sydney Morning Herald looked back on the ill-fated show and asked: “Was this the worst performance ever?”

A reviewer wrote: “Everything that could go wrong did go wrong in a performance that featured fights, band and audience heckling and a huge amount of banter between songs.”

The concert has been canceled and it seems that the rest of the tour has been canceled as well
