Wednesday on Netflix promises to be exciting viewing.
The official trailer for Wednesday, October 9, 2022, was released by Netflix, and it provides a preview of the film’s interesting universe filled with mystery. As the narrator states, the video begins with an ominous tone with a vehicle entering the Nevermore Academy.
“Nevermore was founded to provide a secure sanctuary for our children to study and develop, regardless of who or what they are.”
After that, a dramatic background soundtrack begins to play, and the teaser briefly portrays many moments from the series. The video does not disclose much essential information, but it definitely sets the tone and substance of the plot. According to Netflix, below is the official summary of the film:
“Weekend Addams, smart, sarcastic, and a touch dead inside, investigates a murder spree while finding new friends — and opponents — at Nevermore Academy.”
According to the description and trailer, viewers can expect an exciting and engaging series that combines aspects of humor and horror. The Addams Family series has spawned several films and television shows over the years, most notably the 1964 program simply named The Addams Family, which apparently inspired Barry Sonnenfeld’s 1991 film of the same name.
In 1993, a sequel named Addams Family Values was published. Two additional films were released: The Adams Family in 2019, and The Addams Family 2 in 2021. All of the franchise’s films were financially successful and earned largely mixed-to-positive critical reviews.
