As the season progressed, it was revealed that Carson was actually a skilled doctor who stopped practicing medicine after the tragic death of his wife. Despite his reluctance to practice again, his medical expertise could not be ignored when he correctly diagnosed a young man named Cody with appendicitis, contrary to another doctor’s diagnosis of stomach flu.
With Cody’s life hanging in the balance, Carson performed emergency surgery and successfully saved the boy’s life. Recognizing his exceptional skills, the town realized they needed a doctor, and Carson was asked to become the town doctor. He also had guest roles on various TV series, including “Freddie,” “Shark “, “Wedding Bells”, “My Own Worst Enemy” and “NCIS”.
Additionally, Greene made his feature film debut in the 2010 Sofia Coppola film Somewhere. During his career, he appeared in more than 100 television commercials. “When Calls the Heart” is an American television drama series based on the book of the same name by Janette Oke, which is part of her Canadian West series. The show was developed by Michael Landon Jr. and first aired on the Hallmark Channel in the United States on January 11, 2014. It premiered in Canada on April 16, 2014 on the Super Channel.
The series grew out of a two-hour television film pilot that aired in October 2013. The pilot starred Maggie Grace as young teacher Elizabeth Thatcher and Stephen Amell as RNC officer Wynn Delaney. In the television series, Erin Krakow takes on the lead role of Elizabeth Thatcher, supported by an ensemble.
Following its initial success, Hallmark renewed the series for a sixth season on March 21, 2018. The season began with a two-hour Christmas special as part of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas event and was slated to continue for ten episodes beginning in February 2019.
However, the season faced delays and cancellation due to the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal, which involved Lori Loughlin, who played Abigail Stanton on the show. Following the removal of Loughlin from all Hallmark properties, the season underwent a makeover, and her scenes were edited out.
