Who is Gboyega Odubanjo?
Reports suggested the dead body was found while detectives were carrying out a search operation in Kelmarsh at around 9 BST. The preliminary identification of the body has not yet been completed. The family of missing poet Gboyega Odubanjo have been informed, Northamptonshire Police have confirmed. The Nigerian poet was due to perform at a local rural music event held in Kelmarsh on Sunday, a day before he was last seen at the Shambala festival in Northamptonshire. Gboyega Odubanjo is from Bromley in South London. He is currently 27 years old. Northamptonshire Police have not confirmed the identity of the man who was found dead during the search for missing Gboyego Odubanja. As he was supposed to perform in Kelmarsh on Sunday, the poet did not appear at the performance. Later at around 9 BST, the body was found in the Kelmarsh area. Gboyega’s grandmother Antonia Onigbode added that news of Gboyega’s disappearance came as a shock to the family. As a body was found in the search for the missing Gboyego Odubanja, many already believed that the poet died young at the age of 27.
