He was reportedly found dead at his girlfriend’s house located in Ndwedwe, Durban North. It was early Thursday when he was found dead in the house. A statement released by the Ndwedwe Police reads: “A man was reportedly found hanging from the roof of his girlfriend’s room. Allegedly, the couple had an argument. The deceased was found hanging by the laces of his tennis shoes and had an open wound to the back of his head.” He was at his girlfriend’s house when he was found dead or allegedly committed suicide. In 2021 and 2022, Mbuleli Mathanga won the South African 10,000m crown.
