Reports suggested that police arrested a staff member from Islamia Bahawalpur University amid a crackdown on the perpetrators who were in possession of videos and photographs of the university’s students. Note that three staff members have been arrested in connection with the same thing. According to the documents presented by the police, more than 400 obscene videos and images were found while the police crackdown was taking place. Authorities began arresting Islamia University Bahawalpur staff members when security adviser Ijaz was detained during the investigation. The police confiscated the drugs. The complaint filed at Baghdad’s Al Jadid police station reads: “After searching for eight grams of ice.” [crystal methamphetamine] it was recovered from the right pocket of Muhammad Altaf. Altaf admitted to taking ice” This report was filed for possession, trade and financing of narcotics under the Narcotic Substances Control Act. Prior to Altaf’s arrest, police arrested the university’s security chief, Syed Ijaz, who was found with drugs allegedly linked to the contents of the absences of women and students from the university on his phone. In relation to the same suspect, the financial director of the university, Abu Bakar, testified. The court granted Ijaz Shah custody until July 24.
