Reports suggested that police arrested a staff member from Islamia Bahawalpur University amid a crackdown on the perpetrators who were in possession of videos and photographs of the university’s students. Prior to Altaf’s arrest, police arrested the university’s security chief, Syed Ijaz, who was found with drugs allegedly linked to the contents of the absences of women and students from the university on his phone. In relation to the same suspect, the financial director of the university, Abu Bakar, testified. The court granted Ijaz Shah custody until July 24.
