Career
The New York Giants selected Rosenthal among Notre Dame in the fifth round of the 1999 NFL Draft. As a Giants rookie in 1999, he appeared in nine games, including seven as a starter. Additionally, he appeared in 8 games and started two games for the Giants in 2000 and 7 games in 2001. He started all 16 games and a Wildcard Playoff for the Giants in 2002. Rosenthal was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an unrestricted free agent in March 2003 for $1.8 million. In 2004, he broke his right leg in the second game of the season.
On September 22, he was placed on the injured reserve. Furthermore, in 2005, he played all 16 games, 12 of which he started as a tackle. Marcus Johnson started at the end of November, but returned to start the last two games of the season. In 2002, Rosenthal was inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. As a senior, he was named the Gatorade Circle Player of the Year in Indiana.
