What you see first in paint pouring optical illusion says if you’re a perfectionist or are naive to people’s bad sides

A NEW optical illusion has been created that reveals what kind of person you are.

Depending on what you see first when you look at the image above the paint spill video, you’ll be able to tell if you’re a perfectionist or someone who naively sees the bad side of people.

As the clip plays in the background and the image appears, a voiceover explains that there are several different images that can grab your attention, and each one will be different.

The TikTok account @rroseart, run by artist Rose, asks her 260,000 followers in the caption: “What do you see?”

The first option is that you can see a pair of lips. According to the voice, this means that “you always take things as they are and judge them for their true worth.”

They continue: “You don’t try to change or figure out the things around you, but you understand their true meaning.

However, others can see the trees, which means that you are “sometimes a perfectionist, but always looking for the best in every situation.”

While spotting the root first can indicate that “you always look for the best in a person, but sometimes it can hinder your inability to see the negative in them.”

People who see roots sprout are also described as having a “heart of gold.”

The personality test follows the research of Hermann Rorschach, a Swiss psychiatrist who used inkblots to try to learn more about the “unconscious parts of the subject’s personality.”

It seems to have worked, as many social media users flocked to the video’s comments section to say they saw different images from each other.

One wrote: “I saw the roots and they were dead.” Another said: “It’s so true that I have lips.”

While others suggested that they initially saw one image, but ended up being able to see all three.

Rose, who runs the account that posted the optical illusion, later revealed that she saw the lips first.

Like lips, some people see trees at first sight.
