When Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Starts

With only a month remaining on Fortnite‘s Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass, players are looking forward to the release of Chapter 3 Season 4. The current party-themed season of Fortnite, Vibin’, is a nice break from the war between the Imagined Order and the Seven, which saw Fortnite‘s island being flipped upside down at the beginning of Chapter 3. Fortnite fans are excited to find out where the game’s storyline will go next and which new characters will be arriving in the upcoming season.

Each chapter of Fortnite so far has comprised of 8-10 seasons, with each season usually lasting 10-12 weeks. During this time, the corresponding Battle Pass is available to players, and items in the Battle Pass can be unlocked using Battle Stars. Each time a player levels up in Fortnite, they’ll gain five Battle Stars to use on the Battle Pass’s cosmetic items. The current season of Fortnite, Chapter 3 Season 3, began on Sunday, June 5 and the season, alonside its Battle Pass, is expected to conclude on Saturday, September 17.

The current season of Fortnite ends on Saturday, September 17, so Chapter 3 Season 4 will likely start the following day, Sunday, September 18. Fortnite always experiences a short period of downtime between the end of one season and the start of the next, however, the game is usually only offline for a few hours. Once the Fortnite servers are back online following the downtime, Fortnite players will be able to update their game and enjoy the new season.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Release Date & Theme

The theme for Chapter 3 Season 4 is currently unknown, but if previous seasons of Fortnite are anything to go by, players will be in for a treat. Previous seasons have included a wide range of themes including medieval, space, primal, and bounty hunters, most of which factor into the game’s continuous, evolving story. Additionally, each season has added tons of new content and features to Fortnite, some of which are limited to a specific season, and others that have remained in-game permanently. The most recent example is Zero Build mode, which removed Fortnite‘s worst feature, and was added in Chapter 3 Season 2. It was also made permanent shortly after due to its huge popularity.

Fortnite players have a month left to level up, collect Battle Stars, and unlock the Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass’s rewards. Fortnite‘s Summer party-themed season, Vibin’, is expected to draw to a close on September 17, making way for a brand-new season on September 18. Fortnite leakers have suggested that an all-new first-person mode is coming to Fortnite, but is still in early development, so it might not be arriving as soon as the upcoming update.

Regardless, Fortnite players can look forward to a wealth of new content in the upcoming season. At a minimum, players will be getting a new theme, new original and licensed characters, new in-game items, and map changes when Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 releases.
