Escape to Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge said goodbye to their Channel 4 reality show last December, much to the disappointment of viewers.
The famous couple, who moved to France with their two children Arthur and Dorothy in 2015 to restore their abandoned 19th century castle, have chronicled their six-year journey on the show and even also created a spin-off series called Exit to Chateau DIY.
Now that Channel 4 has severed ties with the family, viewers will be curious as to when they can expect the stars to return to the box. Continue reading for everything we know…

When are Dick and Angel Strawbridge back on TV?
Dick and Angel will return to our screens in a new spin-off series, called Escape to the Castle: Secret France, later this year. However, now that the stars have been removed from Channel 4, they are unlikely to return to our screens in the coming months.
The four-episode spin-off, which is supposed to follow the family as they travel across the European country, is slated to be released later this year. But since Channel 4 commissioned the show in the first place, it probably won’t air.

Dick and Angel have yet to announce other upcoming TV shows, so fans will have to wait patiently to find out when they will return to the small screen.

Despite leaving the broadcaster, Dick and Angel still hint at an “exciting future” ahead, so it’s only a matter of time before they find out what awaits the family.
Meanwhile, the reality stars are likely gearing up for a 32-day UK tour, which begins in Angela’s hometown of Southend-On-Sea next October.
Will Escape to the Chateau: Secret France ever be released?
The Strawbridges began filming the new series in January before embarking on a cinema and book signing tour in Australia and New Zealand.
Considering that production began a few months before their Channel 4 contract expired, it’s likely that at least one episode was filmed.

Although it would be a pity if the project never aired, unless the series is picked up by another broadcaster, it is very likely that viewers will not watch it.
What happened between Strawbridges and Channel 4?
In May, it was confirmed that Channel 4 had officially severed ties with Strawbridges.
The decision came after an independent investigation was conducted into Dick and Angelo’s conduct on the show, according to Deadline.

The outlet reports that the production company behind the series, Two Rivers Media, has raised concerns and said it will no longer work with the pair.
At the end of May, the series made headlines again after a recording of Angelo, one can be heard insulting an actor, was leaked to the media.
