The way this chair is facing will be different to what you thought
It shows a black chair in the middle of a white room in what seems pretty straightforward so far.
Reality then starts to warp as a man comes in from out of shot and sits on the chair – but from a completely different angle to which you thought it was facing.
Don’t believe us? Check it out for yourself.
The chairs were created by French design studio Ibride, according to Dezeen.
An explanation for the illusion shows that the chairs were intentionally designed to appear warped and uneven.
However, when seen from a specific angle, our eyes are tricked because their silhouettes resemble classic designs.

The chairs are designed to be warped and uneven in order to create the optical illusion
The Hidden Chairs collection by Ibride is made up of three beech plywood chairs each based on a historical design.
Optical illusions show images that differ from normal reality but the information gathered by the eye is processed in the brain to give a certain perception.
Recently, an viral TikTok video explained how our mind is tricked by moving colours.
Another tricky visual claims to tell you which side of your brain you favour the most.
And what do YOU see first in this optical illusion? Whatever you do will reveal your most annoying personality trait.
