Whitney Rose Ditches Her Signature Blonde Hair and Enters Redhead Territory with New Ginger Bob

Whitney Rose reinvented her signature blonde.

While appearing on What Happens Live with Andy Cohenthe Bravo star, 38, showed off her latest hairdo – a daring chin-length ginger bob.

The The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 38, caused a sensation on the Jan. 8 episode, looking radiant in her refreshed look, which is not only more vibrant in color, but also slightly shorter than her previous hairstyle.

She styled her hair with curled ends that echoed the “flippy bob” trend that dominated last year’s awards season, and a deep side parting tucked behind her ear.

Rose has yet to release details about her new shop, but she showed it off in an Instagram video shared with WWHLInstagram account.

The beginning of the clip shows her before glam, with a face without makeup and a casual outfit. Afterwards, she confidently models her new hairstyle while posing in a silver miniskirt and the same heels.

Rose’s blonde curl, which she cut from her previously mega-long locks, lasted about a year before she transformed it.

It became so recognizable for her style that she once even joked about it The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Whitney Leavitt “stole” her look when she herself decided to have a fair haircut.

“If you remember the first season, I had my natural hair in a bob,” Rose told PEOPLE in a recent interview. “I’ve always had blonde hair, so I’m claiming Whitney stole my look.”

But don’t let Rose’s dedication to the chic bob fool you—she really is a hair chameleon!

In December 2020, Rose shared a series of Instagram stories revealing all the different cuts and colors she’s tried over the years. In the photos shared by Bravo, she could be seen sporting a variety of styles, from a long golden pixie, platinum bangs and auburn hair to a shocking haircut from when she shaved her head.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City it is currently in the middle of its fifth season. Two months after the premiere in September, Rose, undoubtedly the drama’s central figure, spoke with PEOPLE about finding her voice.

“It was a lot of years of burning and screwing people over,” she said. “It’s really hard for me to put myself first because I always hate conflict. I hate making people upset. Despite being watched on the show, I don’t like to upset people. I can hold my own. I can stand up for myself and a lot of the time I stand up for a lot of people, but I never stand up for myself.”

Whitney added that she doesn’t see herself as a bad person, but clarified that she doesn’t care if she’s labeled as such — and it’s all because of her unapologetic confidence.

“I guess if we’re going to rely on the villain thing, I think it’s just because we want to stand out,” she said. “[I] I don’t want to be like everyone else. If that makes me a villain, then I guess I’m a villain.”
