Season 38 challenges aim to bring strong bonds together and put them to the test against the intensity of the game. Partners, ex-partners, and best friends will join groups and compete for a $1 million prize pool. The episode will feature Sam Bird and Kailah Bird, a couple secretly getting married in March 2022 because they don’t want a grand wedding.
In one of the oldest reality TV competitions currently running, the show pits similar partners against each other. Jordan Wiseley, Aneesa Ferreira, Nam Vo, Emmy Russ and Anase Talavera, along with close friend Tommy Bracco, are among the other duos that will be participating.
According to The Challenge’s press release:
“The Challenge: Ride or Die will air on October 12. TJ Lavin hosts a show featuring beloved returning fans and bright-eyed rookies, operations managers physically and mentally every week for a million dollars.”

The Birds will be the only couple participating in the Challenge.
Sam Bird and Kailah made their relationship public in January 2020 and got engaged in August. After 18 months, the couple secretly married during a romantic trip to Gibraltar. At first, the two lived in different countries, but after a few months, Sam moved to London to be with the love of his life.
Sam described how they met in their intro video for the Challenge, saying that Kailah snuck into his Instagram DM and visited him.
He declared:
“She spotted a handsome British guy and said, ‘I’m from the US, I live in Florida and I want to take a short break’.”
Kailah defines Sam with one word, jokingly calling him “disgusting”. She went on to say:
“I admire you, but you are a bit annoying.”
She added that he would make a great gaming partner because he is good at “running and cycling”. Sam is a triathlete who doesn’t fear much. Sam claims that they have a bond that will help them win the game. He went on to say that his wife is a “gentle person” at home, but an “extreme” person when it comes to it. Kailah has participated in The Challenge before, however, she has yet to win. Kailah thinks she and Sam are the strongest duo in the game, according to her MTV profile.
It continued:
“Kailah is more focused than ever, especially with Sam around. After all, “till death do us part” just means “ride or die.”
Sam will debut in The Challenge, but the British DJ is no stranger to competition; In addition to being a triathlete, he participated in the 4th season of Love Island UK. Although his time on the dating show didn’t work out, he quickly met the woman of his dreams and is now ready to fight for a million dollars with her. The show will premiere on MTV on October 12 at 8:00 PM ET.
