Alexis co-founded reddit.com with Steve Huffman after graduating from college. After Ohanian and Huffman’s original idea, My Mobile Menu, was rejected, he received funding from Y Combinator. They joined the first series in the summer of 2005 and were acquired by Condé Nast in 2006. As a member of Reddit’s board of directors, Ohanian continues to work closely with the company. On July 10, 2015, he returned to Reddit full-time with co-founder Huffman to lead the now independent company.
Alexis co-founded Start-up Capital in 2010 and has since made seed investments in companies like Instacart, Zenefits, Opendoor, and Cruise.
