Career of Panti Bliss
Panti Bliss is considered one of Ireland’s first drag queens. Her debut drag show was in 1998. During Cyndi Lauper’s Twelve Deadly Cyns tour in Japan in 1994, the Irish drag star performed on stage with her. From 1996 to 2012, Bliss presented the annual Miss Ireland pageant and was a regular at the Dublin Price events. The Casting Couch is a weekly karaoke program hosted by the 54-year-old at The Front Lounge bar in Dublin.
She is also a regular at Shirley Temple nightclub’s monthly drag event at Dublin gay nightclub The George. Bliss launched his eponymous “Pantibar” at 7 Capel Street in Dublin, then took over the neighboring cocktail bar Pennylane in 2020. Rory competed in the sixth season of the Irish reality dance show Dancing With the Stars, with professional dance partner Denys Samson. She participated in the dance program as Panti Bliss, her drag persona, and received many praises for her efforts. Team Panti, on the other hand, was eliminated in the March 5, 2023 episode of the show.
