Andy Biersack was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1990. He attended a Catholic elementary school for his early education, which he has talked about in several interviews. It is known that Jamie Peters, his preschool teacher, had a significant influence on his creativity.
He was known to be bullied at school because of the way he dressed and the music he listened to (such as Avenged Sevenfold, The Misfits, The Dropkick Murphys, The Damned and so on). This fear is shown in the music video for “Knives and Pens” performed by his band Black Veil Brides.
