Who Is Bobbi Althoff's Ex-Husband? All About Cory Althoff

Bobbi Althoff and Cory Althoff were married for four years before he filed for divorce in February 2024.

The exes got married on January 31, 2020 and share two daughters, Isla and Luca.

After they announced their split, Bobbi posted a lengthy message on Instagram in which she wrote that she will always consider Cory a friend despite the end of their romantic relationship.

“Even though our relationship didn’t work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him,” she wrote under a black-and-white photo of the couple smiling while showing off their engagement rings.

Bobbi first went viral in 2023 when she started posting episodes Really good podcaston which she interviewed celebrities in a deliberately awkward style, often making her guests hilariously uncomfortable. After graduating from Clemson University with a degree in political science, Cory turned to a career in technology. However, in 2023 he decided to return to school at the University of Southern California, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration and management.

According to his LinkedIn, he is scheduled to graduate in 2025 and regularly posts photos with his cohort.

“I had a great time studying communication and strategy this week as part of my MBA program at USC Marshall,” he wrote in one post. “I’ve learned so much and can’t wait to start applying it to my role at CompTIA.”

He is a software engineer

After graduation, Cory decided to pursue a career in technology and taught himself to program. He landed his first job as a software engineer at eBay in 2014 before starting work for a startup, Thuuz Sports, and then took a break from the tech world to focus on writing his books.

“I wanted to try to create my own product, do something on my own, instead of working for a company,” Cory said Forbes in November 2017

Cory is now senior vice president of software development programs at CompTIA, a position he assumed in February 2023, according to his LinkedIn.

He is a published author

Motivated by his own struggle and journey early in the field, Cory decided to write his first book, Self-taught programmer2017 to help others who may be on a similar journey. His goal was to make the book accessible so that people without any knowledge of the field could easily understand what he was writing about.

“It was like solving a puzzle,” he said Forbes. “I was trying to create a book that you could follow without knowing.”

Cory self-published the book, raising over $4,000 on Kickstarter and spending over $10,000 of his own money to advertise and publish the book on Amazon. Since then, he has been awarded traditional publishing contracts in five countries worldwide, and the book has sold more than 100,000 copies in seven different languages ​​by March 2021.

In 2021, Cory published his second book, Self-taught computer scientistin an effort to write something on the subject that “everyone can read,” he wrote on Instagram. This time he published through Wiley.

“Whether you’re preparing for a technical interview or want to become a better programmer: I’ve done my best to present the fundamental computer science concepts you need for a successful programming career in a way anyone can understand,” he wrote while promoting the book on Instagram in 2021. “I hope my new book will inspire a new wave of self-taught programmers and help contribute to even more success stories.”

The former couple are the parents of two daughters. Isla was born in June 2022 and Luca was born in 2020. Before her TikTok turned to promoting her podcast interviews, Bobbi mostly posted content about motherhood and the struggles that come with it.

However, after her rise to fame, she deleted all videos featuring her daughters from her page, explaining on Dave Portnoy’s page BFFs podcast in August 2023 that she did not want to be recognized in public.

“I am so happy [deleted the videos]especially since I made that decision before [the podcast] because I don’t want them to have a digital footprint that I created,” she said. “Now that they’re out in public and they’re not with me, I don’t have to worry and that’s good.”

Before deleting all personal content from her TikTok, Cory occasionally appeared on Bobbi’s TikTok. In a now-deleted video from April 2023, the former couple made a promotional video for Bounty together. In the clip, Bobbi talks about how Cory tries to clean the house, but jokes that she always ends up cleaning up after him because he’s “always missing little things.”

“Today I thought it would be a fun idea to talk about our marriage,” Bobbi said in the video. “My husband sleeps downstairs and I sleep upstairs where the kids sleep and I take care of them all night so I’m mostly tired so he cleans.”

He filed for divorce in February 2024

In February 2024, Cory filed for divorce from Bobbi, citing “irreconcilable differences”. He listed their separation date as July 4, 2023, and checked a box to prevent the court from awarding spousal support to either party.

Bobbi took to Instagram, writing that despite the divorce, she will always love him and consider him a friend.

“As most of you have heard, Cory and I have filed for divorce,” she wrote in the caption. “As sad as I am now, I am so grateful for the time I got to be his wife. Our girls are so lucky to have him as a father, and I am so lucky to work with such an amazing father and person.”

Cory and Bobbi’s divorce was finalized in August 2024. They agreed to joint legal custody of their daughters and neither will pay spousal support or child support.
