Brad Dourif was born on March 18, 1950 in Huntington, West Virginia, USA. Joan Mavis Felton and Jean Henri Dourif are painter parents. His mother was an actress, and his father was an art collector. Joan owned and operated the paint factory. William C. Campbell, a golfer, is the actor’s stepfather.
His paternal grandfather immigrated to the United States from France and founded the Standard Ultramarine and Color Company. The actor went to Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Brad received his degree in 1968. He performed at the Fountain Valley Film Festival in 1969.
The artist attended Marshall University before dropping out. Actress Conchata Ferrell recommended Brad to continue acting in New York.
