In 2013, Janetti co-created and wrote the British sitcom series Spitefulstarring Sir Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi.

He talked with Fast company about how Spiteful was created in 2014, saying: “I’ve always been a bit of an Anglophile. I grew up watching British sitcoms. Janetti added that the show was originally supposed to be American.

“I had a meeting with a producer in London and he mentioned a project that Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi were interested in, starring an older gay couple who have been together for a long time, and maybe I could do an American version of that,” Janetti said, noting that immediately interested him, but that “it seemed to him like something specifically British”.

When the British version of the series was never produced, Janetti took the reins and created the British version himself, rejecting the proposed American adaptation.

In 2021, Janetti created and wrote another British comedy, albeit quite different: Prince, a satirical animated comedy series about Prince George, son of Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton. The HBO Max show was based on Janetti’s viral cartoons of Prince George, where he imagined a biting inner monologue for the young prince. Janetti also voiced Prince George for the series.

Brad Goreski and Gary Janetti married after 16 years together on December 26, 2017, just one day after Christmas. The wedding was an intimate ceremony on the luxury cruise ship, Seabourn Sojourn, hosted by the ship’s captain after they set sail in the Caribbean.

The stylish couple both wore bespoke suits, designed by Isaiah, and exchanged wedding rings designed by jeweler David Yurman.

“All we wanted was for our families to celebrate with us in such a beautiful setting,” Goreski said PEOPLE back in 2017.

Janetti even talked to PEOPLE about Rinna’s frequent commenting on just his name on her Instagram posts joking about Prince George.

“You know, the truth is that Lisa and I, at least for the first year, didn’t talk about it at all,” he said of her constant comments.

“It kind of came organically when she started commenting. I think she uses my name in different ways to show different emotions. She’s either fake shocked, or she’s scolding me, or she’s, you know, a little flirty about it, or she’s fake furious.”

Janetti and Rinna put their friendship to the test in an appearance on The Andy Cohen Show in August 2021. Watch what’s happening live when they took the BFF test, playing against Andy Cohen and his best friend Bruce Bozzi.

In the show, both pairs of best people were given a series of two-choice questions to test their compatibility in making the same decisions. Rinna and Janetti could only agree on two things: that they would tell their friend that leather pants don’t look good on them if they thought so, and that they preferred Prince Harry to Prince William.
