Buzz Aldrin was born on the 20th of January 1930 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, United States and he is 93 years old as of 2023. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy West Point in 1951. He was appointed to the US Air Force.
He served as a jet pilot during the Korean War. Buzz Received a Doctor of Science degree in Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After this, Aldrin was selected for NASA’s Astronaut Group 3. Buzz is also the first astronaut to receive a doctorate degree.
Then in 1971, he left NASA. Then became the commandant of the US Air Force Test Pilot School. Worked there for 21 years.
