Carlos Sainz’s biggest racing fan is his girlfriend Rebecca Donaldson.

The Spanish F1 driver, who currently competes for the Ferrari team, was first linked to the Scottish model in the summer of 2023 — not long after he broke up with Spanish journalist Isa Hernáez, who he dated for nearly seven years.

Although the couple have not spoken publicly about their romance, Sainz joked that he would marry Donaldson in Vegas during an interview with fellow F1 driver Charles Leclerc.

At the beginning of 2024, Sainz took a break due to emergency appendicitis surgery. Donaldson supported him during his recovery and was seen spending time in the driver’s hometown of Madrid.

She is from Scotland

Donaldson comes from the town of Scone in central Scotland and attended the prestigious Perth Academy.

On its website, the school claims to be “probably the oldest school in Scotland” and “can trace its origins to a grammar school founded in Perth in the twelfth century by the Benedictine monks of Dunfermline Abbey.”

She is a model

Based in the United Kingdom, Donaldson is a model currently represented by Brand Model Management and has graced the covers Vogue Ukraine and Marie Claire Mexico. She has also appeared in other fashion and beauty editorials.

Donaldson said she got her career started thanks to her mother entering her into a beauty pageant when she was 17.

“My mom brought me in and I was very surprised when I found out,” Donaldson said Daily record 2011 “We had to go to rehearsals to practice the dances on the catwalk before going in front of the four judges.”

Donaldson won The Face in 2011 and went on to compete in the reality series Top model UK. When she got the news of her win, Donaldson said, “My whole family was so happy for me, they were jumping around and stuff!”

She was first seen with Sainz in June 2023

Sainz and Donaldson were first spotted together in Milan in June 2023, though they didn’t show any PDA, according to a post on Matthew J. Thompson’s page X (formerly Twitter) account.

Two months later, fans seemed to confirm their relationship when the pair were spotted again on a golf course in Amsterdam, Essentially Sports reports.

It seems that Donaldson also had a chance to meet Sainz’s loved ones. In February 2024, the model walked the runway during Madrid Fashion Week, and some of the Sainz family, including his sisters Ana and Blanca and his mother Reyes, were in the crowd, according to Essentially Sports.

She founded an activewear company

During the COVID-19 quarantine in October 2020, Donaldson launched her clothing company, Muse Activewear.

“I spent many days and hours during quarantine feeling a bit meaningless,” she said in an interview with Vestd 2021. “So I decided to follow my dream of starting a clothing brand.”

Donaldson described the line as “a versatile collection of comfortable, supportive gym wear that can also be altered for everyday wear.”

She continued: “The brand is based on the minimalist ‘wake luxe’ trend incorporating restrained shapes with neutral, mid-season color palettes.”

She prefers to be an entrepreneur

In her interview with Vestd, Donaldson shared that she’s “never had a 9-to-5 job” and instead prefers the life of an entrepreneur.

“I worked part-time in that type of role, but I only lasted about 6 months,” she said. “That’s probably one of the reasons why I decided to start my own business!”

The model also said she had been working on her laptop in bed but became “very lethargic”.

“In order to maintain focus and a high level of productivity while working remotely, I recommend finding a place in your home and making it a dedicated work zone,” she added.

She previously dated Scott Disick

Before her relationship with Sainz, Donaldson briefly dated Scott Disick. The couple made their red carpet debut in April 2022 at Hulu’s premiere event The Kardashians in Los Angeles.

The pair held hands as they posed for photos, with Disick in a black suit and white shirt and Donaldson in a green one-shoulder dress and heels.

In June 2022. Hey! News reported that Disick and Donaldson broke up a few weeks ago.

She supports Sainz at the races

Donaldson was seen hugging and kissing Sainz ahead of the F1 Mexican Grand Prix in October 2023. The following month, before the F1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, Donaldson and Sainz were seen walking together.

In May 2024, she continued to cheer him on during the qualifying races before the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, just before he came third in the race.
