David Michael Navarro was born in Santa Monica, California. He was the child of Constance Colleen Hopkins and James Raul Navarro. Dave graduated from Sherman Oaks, California Notre Dame High School, which he attended. In 1983, his mother passed away after being murdered by her ex-boyfriend.
