Many fans were devastated when favorite contestant Deji Adeniyi was axed from Love Island UK on Sunday night. In a dramatic turn of events on the dating show, Deji Adeniyi and Lacey Edwards, along with Nathalia Campos and Reece Ford, have left the mansion.
Deji Adeniyi entered the eighth season of Love Island UK with the hope of falling in love. On day 26, he joined Jack, Josh, Billy, George and Samuel at Casa Amor. His laid-back nature and meme-worthy facial expressions have endeared him to his followers. His surprise firing shocked many fans, who flocked to Twitter to express their anger.

Deji Adeniyi, a 25-year-old account manager from Bedford, appeared on the second season of Love Island UK looking for love. He gave himself a “10” because he believes he is flawless and “probably the epitome of perfection.” Despite his perfection, his love life is miserable, which is why he took part in the dating program Love Island. He stated:
“The reason for this is that my sex life is fantastic, but my love life is lacking. I am the king of failed speaking platforms. My love life is not going well, so one evening I decided to sign up for the Island of Love and now I’m here!”
Deji, a competitive contestant, entered the program determined to give his all and not be afraid to express his emotions to his partner. As for how long he will stay on the program, he stated:
“I’m very competitive and I believe that’s what drives me every day. I am my own opponent. During this, I will wear my heart on my sleeve. I try to provide energy that will convince others that love is genuine! Many people take the power of love for granted and I wish people were more open to their sensitive side.”
His Instagram account, @deji.adeniyi, now has 65.9k followers and is full of photos from Love Island as well as his other solo work. He is known as @deji.adeniyi on TikTok and has 9.1 thousand followers. He even has a YouTube account, ThatKidDej, although he has yet to add any videos to it. Fans adored him for his carefree nature on Love Island UK, but his sudden eviction shocked many.

Deji Adeniyi’s adventure on Love Island in Great Britain
After hanging out with Indiyah and Danica, he went on a date with newly married Lacey Edwards (25), who surprised everyone by admitting that she was a “red flag” as soon as she entered the mansion. As they sat down to talk, the recruit revealed that she had been involved in a “cheating situation”. However, she admitted that she is working on herself now and is trying to be better in the future. She stated:
“I’m a terrible guy and I’m holding my hands up, but I’m trying to change, so give me credit.”
Despite his reservations that Lacey would be “boring” and “like a school teacher”, the two enjoyed a steamy kiss on film and bonded well. After the elimination, the couple intends to continue their love outside the show. Lacey remarked about Deja after she was eliminated:
“I came here looking for one thing, and that was a relationship, and I think I found it.”
