Glenn Danzig was born in 1955 into a family of a World War II veteran father and a salesman mother in Lodi, New Jersey, USA. His father worked as a television repairman after the war after returning from service in Korea. After the second child, Glenn was the third child born to his parents. He lived for a time in Revere, Massachusetts. He started listening to rock music while staying in this part of the country. Glenn Danzig credits him with bands like “Black Sabbath”, “The Doors” and “Blue Cheer” at the time. Glenn Danzig started using drugs and alcohol at the age of 11, and by the age of 15 he became addicted.
