Shortly after, the SpaceX founder himself gave the signal. Halli Thorleifsson went on to say that she “led the effort to save approximately $500K on the SaaS contract,” “led the prioritization of design projects so the company could deliver with a smaller team,” and “led design critics to help raise the bar for design across the company.”
He added that he was also the “hiring manager for all design roles” and worked on efforts to “move the company away from focusing on power users and focusing on young users,” among other things.

When Elon Musk asked Halla Thorleifson to draw up his SaaS contract and design projects, the latter replied that it was a “Figma” contract and that she was working on “all active design projects.”

Halli Thorleifson later clarified that her original query was about her employment status on Twitter, which neither Elon Musk nor HR initially responded to.
But he said HR reacted “miraculously” so he finally got confirmation that he was no longer employed by Twitter.
But the original question was whether or not you were still employed because you or your hiring manager couldn’t answer that yet.

Elon Musk later wrote that Thorleifsson “didn’t do any real work” at the company and claimed that he used muscular dystrophy as an excuse.
The reality is that this guy (who is independent of wealth) didn’t really work, claimed as an excuse that he had a disability that prevented him from writing, and at the same time he was tweeting up a storm. I can’t say that he has much respect for her.
