Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has gone public with his relationship with girlfriend Bryonna “Bry” Rivera Burrows.
The football star stunned fans when Burrows joined him on the field to celebrate his team’s NFC Championship victory against the San Francisco 49ers in January 2023. Since then, she has continued to show her support for Hurts on and off the field, including cheering him on at the Eagles’ first game against the Greenbay Packers in Brazil in September 2024.
Before their public debut, Hurts kept his romance with Burrows out of the spotlight. The NFL pro — whose Instagram is dedicated to snaps from his career and his charity work — had never commented on his dating life before kicking off their relationship the day he found out he was going to the Super Bowl.
In April 2023, Hurts opened up about his relationship with Burrows during an interview with Essence.
“I’m not married or anything. But I’m being talked about,” he told the news outlet, explaining that the couple has been dating off and on since meeting at the University of Alabama.
Hurts added that he “knew for a long time” that Burrows was right for him.
“I mean, to this point in my life, it’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now,” he shared.
So who is Jalen Hurts girlfriend? Here’s everything there is to know about Bry Burrows and her relationship with the Eagles quarterback.

Hurts and Burrows first met at the University of Alabama, where they were both students.
Hurts played on the school’s football team for three seasons, from 2016 to 2018, before transferring to the University of Oklahoma for his senior year.
The couple likely met through the Greek system at Alabama. Burrows is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., while Hurts is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Burrows graduated in 2017 with a BA in Spanish and Political Science. She then earned an MBA from the Manderson School of Business in Alabama, according to her LinkedIn account.
He lives in Texas
Burrows lives and works in Dallas, Texas. It’s not clear where she’s from, but Hurts’ family home, where he reportedly stays with his parents in the off-season, is just 150 miles away in Houston, Texas.
Hurts grew up in Channelview, Texas, outside of Houston, where he played for the Channelview High School football team with his father, Averion Hurts, as coach.
She works in the technology industry
As her graduation approached, Burrows was hired by IBM to begin her career as a senior customer experience consultant in Dallas. After Alabama’s director of corporate sponsorships revealed the news on LinkedIn, Burrows wrote, “Counting down the days! Can’t wait!”
Burrows worked her way up the tech firm, spending time there as a sales executive and head of software financing before taking on her current role as partner in artificial intelligence.
She is an MVP in her own right
Hurts may be the star on the court, but Burrows is the best in the school and business world. Burrows was a vice president of her school’s MBA association in 2018 and served as captain of the MBA case team, something she described as “one of my most memorable moments in graduate school” on her LinkedIn. She even led the team to victory in 2019, winning the SEC National Championship.
Burrows was also part of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority as a student and graduated with honors. “There are no words to describe the humble reminder of Honors Day at #UA,” she told the University, according to Alabama’s Twitter account. “Knowing that I’m recognized is priceless.”

Hurts is notoriously secretive about his personal life, so fans were shocked to see him walking hand-in-hand with Burrows on the field after the Eagles’ big win in the NFC Championship.
Burrows beamed next to his NFL boyfriend, looking extremely proud as he prepared for his first trip to the Super Bowl. She even joined in the celebration, hugging her friends and family video filmed by FOX cameras.
“Jalen Hurts has a girlfriend 😩 why not me god,” one surprised fan wrote on Twitterwhile the other added“I just found out Jalen Hurts has a girlfriend. Somebody stop the Earth, I’m ready to get off.”

Burrows is passionate about helping young people into careers in tech. She has participated in several educational events, including being a trainer in IBM’s 8-week Accelerate 2022 program, which is a professional learning pathway that helps prepare minority undergraduate students for the business world. “It was the best time for several weeks of speaking and teaching sessions,” she announced after the summit. “I can assure you that with these students the future is in good hands! #BigBlue”
She also participated in the Manderson Women in Business conversation and the Diversity and Inclusion 2021 panel, which she cares deeply about. “I am happy that my company provides a space for us to talk, listen and learn from each other,” she wrote after the panel. “D & I is deeper than gender, color or nationality. It’s about the lived experiences that define who we are and improve our community and workplace.”
Hurts also helps others a lot. When he is not on the field, the defender regularly spends time working with a number of charities. In December 2022, he spent a day giving back to the community on his “Day of Care” tour in Philadelphia, where he made several stops to hand out coats, discuss career options with KB Foundation kids, and have lunch with a local high school football team.
In 2021, Hurts, in collaboration with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, spent the day with the struggling family of a 7-year-old boy with cancer. At the end of the visit, he gave his mother $30,000 to help them settle into a better home. “That kind of moment for me, just getting in there and meeting everybody, it was fun,” he said. “I think it’s amazing how the kids don’t even understand what they’re facing, the circumstances they’re in, but they’re just happy to be alive.”
She knows a thing or two about a good cocktail
In her (private) Instagram bio, Burrows simply writes, “love language: wine.” But her experience with the alcohol industry goes deeper than that.
In 2016, Burrows interned at Brown-Forman, the parent company of Jack Daniels whiskey, among many other international spirits brands. “Bryonna was able to research customer taste profiles, expand brand activation and participate in national marketing strategy planning meetings,” her sorority shared at the time.
She loves the outdoors
He may not play soccer like her boyfriend, but Burrows still likes to spend time outside in the fresh air. In a 2021 LinkedIn post about ways to deal with an “always on” culture, she liked the suggestion to “do something active,” calling it a “game changer” for her.
“I’m very #extroverted and being outside fills me up every time!” she wrote in the description.
