Mike Sellers’ wife, Jane Sellers, married the former football player in 2010. The footballer-turned-coach recently revealed that his family needs help as he battles heart disease. Jane has launched a campaign for her husband as he is no longer able to care for their family. Mike Sellers, a former NFL and CFL player, began his professional career with the Edmonton Elks in 1995.
Mike played for two NFL teams: the Washington Commanders and the Cleveland Browns. He entered the NFL with the Commanders in 1998 and played three seasons before joining the Browns. He returned to the NFL in 2004 with the Commanders and remained with them until 2011. Sellers worked as a running backs coach at IMG Academy until his health deteriorated.

Mike Sellers’ wife, Jane Sellers, is a competitive bodybuilder who has competed in many events in recent years. Jane, a fitness enthusiast like her husband, has been posting videos on her Cooking With Plain Jane YouTube account. In 2018, Jane competed in the NPC Tampa Bay Classic, and several photos of her looking completely shredded are available online. Mike has already posted several photos of bodybuilder Jane on his Facebook page. Jane Sellers, wife of a former NFL player, graduated from Hillsborough Community College and attended TR Robinson High School. She previously worked as a paraprofessional at Sumner High School and took a leave of absence due to her husband’s recent medical issues. In addition to being a para-professional, Jane is the CEO of Balloon Art by Plain Jane. She has a second Instagram page for her balloon artwork, which she launched last January.
Jane has just started a GoFundMe campaign to help with Mike’s medical expenses due to his recent illness. She added, “For the past six months, Mike has been at one of the largest hospitals in the country: Tampa General Hospital. We discovered that my husband had a long road to recovery. Mike had nine cardiac treatments during this trip. He is no longer able to take care of our family.
She went on to say,
“As his wife, I decided to be the one to take care of him and nurture him to become a caring father, husband, brother, son, friend and fun-loving coach.”
The Sellers family set a goal of $100,000, and so far $77,000 has been donated.
Mike and Jane are parents of three children
The sports couple raised three children, two of whom are teenagers. Jane listed three children on her GoFundMe page, one of whom is grown. In July 2018, Jane posted a photo of her and Mike exchanging wedding vows. The photo was released on their seventh wedding anniversary, with “2010” scrawled across it. Jane posted numerous family photos on Facebook, including the one taken on the soccer field.
Previously, Jane and Mike’s two adolescences were seen at the Washington Commanders Stadium. Mike, a former Commanders player, dressed his children in the famous burgundy and gold jerseys. Mike’s oldest daughter, Kaylin, is definitely from a previous relationship. He addressed Kaylin in an interview with the Daily Press in 2006.
