Jeannette Walls was born on April 21, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States. Rex Walls is her father, while Rose Mary Walls is her mother. He also has a brother named Brian Walls and two sisters named Lori and Maureen Walls, and two sisters.
Wall’s family lived a nomadic lifestyle, traveling from Phoenix to California and staying in various locations, including San Francisco. These include Welch, West Virginia, the Tenderloin and Battle Mountain, Nevada, with periods of unemployment.
The family moved to Welch, Rex’s small town in the Appalachians, and has been living in a three-room house without electricity or running water ever since.
