Who Is Joan Collins’ Husband? All About Percy Gibson

Joan Collins has been happily married to her fifth husband Percy Gibson for over two decades.

The Dynasty the star met a producer 32 years her junior in 2000 while working on a play Love letterswhich Gibson produced.

In a 2018 essay she wrote for Daily mailshe wrote of Gibson, “I’m not a Stepford wife and he’s an alpha-male Peruvian-Scottish, so sometimes we clash, but it doesn’t last long and we quickly apologize.”

He is a theater and film producer

Gibson achieved success as a theater manager and film producer. In addition to theater work, he was also engaged in producing The time of their lives, a 2017 comedy starring Collins. He was funny, attractive, handsome, and after the show I would hang out with him, my costar George Hamilton and my daughter Katy.”

He is Collins’ fifth husband

Collins first married Maxwell Reed, an Irish actor 14 years her senior, on her 19th birthday. They divorced in 1956.

In 1963, she married British pop star Anthony Newley, with whom she had two children, daughter Tara and son Alexander. However, the two eventually divorced in 1971. Shortly thereafter, Collins married Beatles producer Ron Kass, the father of her daughter Katyana, in 1972. They were married until 1983. She was then briefly married to Swedish singer Peter Holm from 1985 to 1987.

Of meeting Gibson, Collins told the BBC: “It was dizzying, it was fantastic and Percy and I fell madly in love. I finally found my true soul mate and my forever husband.”

Before Collins, Gibson was married to Cynthia Bauer from 1989 to 2001.

He and Collins were married in London in 2002

In April 2019, Collins and Gibson’s home in London was destroyed by fire.

“Percy had two of those fire extinguishers in the apartment so he rushed inside to start putting out the fire and Joan called the fire department,” a rep for the couple said at the time, adding that when authorities arrived, Percy was in some way controlled most of the fires.”

The representative continued: “Percy really saved the day. He was the one who put the fire out and took control until the fire brigade arrived.”
