Biography of Jon Anderson
John Roy Anderson was born in Lincolnshire, England on October 25, 1944. His parents are Kathleen and Albert Anderson. His mother worked in a cotton factory and his father served in the army entertainment division. Tony, Stuart and Joy are his siblings. Jon attended Saint John’s School and had learning difficulties.

Career
Jon Anderson began his career by joining a local group called the Warriors. The band performed covers of songs by famous artists. Anderson later recorded a number of songs, including “Don’t Make Me Blue” and “You Came Along”. He returned to London in 1968 and joined another local group called Gun. He became one of the founders of the band Yes in 1968.
In 1969, they released their self-titled debut album. However, the band found success after releasing the album TheYes in 1971, which went platinum. It was followed by Fragile, another hugely successful album.
Shortly after, they released Close to the Edge, another platinum album. Tormato, Going for the One, Tales from Topographic Oceans and Relayer were among their other albums released in the 1970s. They released 90125 in 1983. His engagement in the band lasted until 2008.
