Jordy Jordan was born on May 31, 1985 in Manhattan, Kansas to mother Kim Nelson and father Alan Nelson. He was born to brother Mike Nelson and sister Kelsey Nelson. He is an American by nationality, and his origin is Swiss.

Jordy took his first major role in football at Kansas State, where he was a member of the Wildcats’ Big 12 Championship team in 2003. He later earned All-American honors and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award after catching 122 passes for 1,606 yards and 11 touchdowns in college football.
Jordy made a significant impact on his college football team before turning pro. Jordy joined the Green Bay Packers on April 26, 2008 after retiring from his college football career. He was selected as the fifth pick in the second round of the 2008 draft. Since then, he spent 8 years in the team, achieving great things for himself and the team.
