Biography of Josh Turner
Josh Turner spent his formative years at a church in Hannah, South Carolina. Turner suffered a lesion on his vocal cords, so he was evaluated at the Vanderbilt Voice Clinic, and the doctor told him that surgery was not necessary, but he still rested his voice for a year. In the time of rest, of his voice, he studied the classical vocal method, how to improve his voice and avoid this problem forever.
Turner was a member of a gospel ensemble that toured throughout South Carolina while still in high school. Their group was called ‘Thankful Hearts’. He was later accepted to Belmont University.
