Chris Burdette has extensive experience as a business consultant, executive coach, event planner, project manager, strategic planner and user experience writer. His knowledge and abilities are vast, driven by a voracious curiosity, passionate interests and a natural ability to solve problems. From August 2001 to February 2022, together with his ex-wife, he founded Texas Dreams Gymnastics.
The 48-year-old took up gymnastics after being inspired by the 1986 gymnastics movie “American Anthem.” From that day on, he vowed to become a gymnast, to open a gymnastics club similar to the one shown in the film. Despite his first failure, at the age of sixteen he traveled 30 minutes to the nearest gymnastics club for a tryout. In June 2019, Chris transitioned from owning and running a national gymnastics powerhouse for two decades to concentrate on coaching the world’s top gymnasts.
His new venture is a full-time commitment to fathering three artistically inclined, athletically gifted and unconventional children. The family’s collective love of rock climbing, both indoor and outdoor, blossomed after joining their activities in LA and Austin. He has years behind him as a gymnastics club owner, top trainer and competition host, and as his children grow older and more independent, he is excitedly awaiting his next new experience.

Kim Zmeskal married Chris Burdette on October 23, 1999, after meeting when they were both 19 years old. The legendary Karoly ranch, where they first met, served as the backdrop for their wedding. Chris and Kim, a dynamic team, began their professional adventure in 2001, after being commissioned to develop Texas Dreams Gymnastics in Coppell, Texas. Their coaching history dates back to the very beginning of this gymnastics school, and they gladly took ownership of Texas Dreams Gymnastics in 2009.
The Burdettes have three children, two boys, Ryder and Koda, and a girl, Riven, as a memorial to their shared experience. However, according to Kim’s Instagram, she seems to have started a new chapter in her personal life, implying a breakup with Chris Burdette. Kim just befriended a man who goes by the name ‘gofullnomad’ on Instagram. This guy embodies the roles of photographer, diver, sailor, adventurer, explorer, and enthusiastic traveler, giving a picture of a life filled with travel and discovery.
