Maz Jobrani Biography
Maziyar Jobrani was born in Tehran, Iran, on February 26, 1972. His family moved to California when he was six years old, and he spent most of his childhood in Tiburon, in the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from Redwood High School in Larkspur and was inducted into the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Class.
Jobrani holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UC Berkeley. He later enrolled for a Ph.D. at UCLA. program but dropped out because he wanted to pursue his childhood dream of acting and performing comedy.
