Biography of Mike Greenberg

Mike Greenberg was born in New York on August 6, 1967 in a Jewish family. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1985. He transferred to Northwestern University for additional studies and graduated there. He began his career as a sports anchor at WMAQ-AM in Chicago. Later that year, he began working for WSCR-Radio, leaving his position at WMAQ-AM.

He contributed essays to the Copley News Service from 1993 to 1995. He listed SportsChannel Chicago on his resume in 1994. Later that year, in 1996, he left SportsChannel Chicago to work for CLTV. He left Chicago in 1996 while working for ESPN. He was the first host of ESPNEWS.
