The third season of Blown Away will premiere on July 22, 2022, with a fresh cast. In the program, ten participants will compete with each other to achieve supremacy, including Minhi Su England. The 32-year-old glass monument maker has a secret talent: she can sing.
Blown Away Season 3’s Minhi Su England has a glassblowing party with her friend.
Minhi Su England, who now lives in Seattle, Washington, co-owns the glassblowing company Liquid Lush Studio with her friend Bri Chesler. Two friends make unusual but beautiful blown glass objects that they sell as gifts. Minhi married her partner of ten years, Jesse England, in a lavish wedding in September 2021. Her first response to accepting her husband’s last name was to refuse to participate in the ritual, fearing that her individuality would be obscured in the process. However, she ended up branding her inventions as Minhi Su England.
She also posted a picture on Instagram that describes in detail the events of her wedding day:
“This was a significant step for me. It’s a turning point for me to put my ego and pride aside to recognize the tremendous impact Jesse has had on my life, both artistically and as a friend. For conventional reasons I am not interested in this modification. Instead, I want to understand its importance and carry it with me for the rest of my life.”
However, Minhia’s life took an unexpected turn when she lost her husband to an illness just nine months after they were married. Jesse’s memorial was organized by a glass artist at Pilchuck Glass School, where she met him in 2012. Minhi decided to sing Cosmic Dancer at Pilchuck with her brother-in-law Ken England because it reminded her of her husband. Jesse sang this song to Minhi when he came to see her at her cabin in Pilchuck in 2012. Furthermore, Minhi thanked the school for allowing her to be buried in a place that was very important to them both. She is actively involved in her professional community and often works with them to create the wonders of glass blowing.
About the play
Each episode of Netflix’s upcoming program will feature 10 contestants creating the most beautiful glass creations. If they want to win, they will have to face a series of difficult obstacles. Glass master Katherine Gray and host Nick Uhas will be joined by guest judges in each episode.
According to the official synopsis of the show:
“Blown Away returns for Season 3 with some of the world’s most powerful glass attackers competing for the title of Best In Glass. Ten glass artists traveled to North America’s largest hot shop to test their creative abilities. Glassblowers must impress the Evaluators in each episode or risk being eliminated. At stake is a life-changing prize that will take their careers to unprecedented heights. Nick Uhas hosts the Blown Away show, featuring resident evaluator and glass craftsman Katherine Gray.”
The third season of Blown Away will be available on Netflix from July 22.
