Nancy Kovack Childhood
Nancy Kovack was born in Flint, Michigan. Her father was a plant manager at General Motors. She entered the University of Michigan at age 15 and graduated at age 19. She actively competed in beauty pageants, winning eight titles by age 20.
Nancy Kovack Husband, Marriage
Nancy Kovack married the Indian director Zubin Mehta, who was music manager of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and later music director of the New York Philharmonic. After her career ended, Kovack filed a lawsuit against McDougal for alleged embezzlement. McDougal was tried on all twelve counts in 1998.
Susan McDougal, who was embroiled in the Whitewater scandal, served as Kovacko’s personal representative in the early 1990s. McDougal’s malicious prosecution lawsuit in 1999 resulted in a settlement. Kovack and Mehta lived in an apartment in Munich, Germany, where Mehta was music director of the Bavarian State Opera.

Career
After attending a wedding in New York, Kovack became interested in acting. She started her career as a model before becoming one of Jackie Gleason’s Glee Girls. She has appeared in numerous television shows, including three episodes of Star Trek Bewitched (as Darrin Stephens’ ex-girlfriend and Samantha’s nemesis, Sheila Sommers and Clio Vanita’s Italian client), Batman Dream of Jeannie, Get Smart, Perry Mason, 12 O’Clock High, and
Burke’s Law, Family Affair (episode “Family Plan” (1968)), The Name of the Game and Hawaii Five-O (episode “Face of the Dragon”. She played a sexy native medicine woman and a femme fatale in “A Private” A Little War,” one of the most sobering original Star Trek episodes.
She was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her work on Mannix in 1969.
