Hell’s Kitchen returns to FOX on September 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Season 21, often referred to as the Battle of the Ages, will feature participants divided into teams based on age. The Red Team will consist of chefs in their 20s, while the Blue Team will include experienced chefs in their 40s. Nicole Gomez, a celebrity personal chef who has worked for the Will Smith family, is one of the contestants is scheduled to enter the tournament based on age.
According to a Fox press release promoting the series:
“FOX has renewed Gordon Ramsay’s hit cooking competition series HELL’S KITCHEN for two more seasons, bringing it to its 21st and 22nd seasons. In this long-running series, aspiring chefs will undergo a show rigorous cooking classes to prove that they have the stamina and expertise to enter the competition each week. Only those with the correct combination of elements can compete until a winner is declared.

Hell’s Kitchen contestant Nicole Gomez wants to be a commercial pilot.
Nicole Gomez of Blue Team is a renowned private chef with over two decades of experience. She entered the profession in 2000 and has collaborated with Will Smith, Eddie Murphy and Dan Bilzerian. She talks about her career in the field on the podcast The Conscious Kitchen in 2021. The chef shared how she started working in the kitchen, saying that she originally planned to be a chef. commercial and her then boyfriend helped her find a cooking school.
Nicole’s boyfriend once warned her that she watched too many cooking shows because she was in love with Emeril Lagasse, whom she called a genius. Nicole worked as an intern at the Playboy home and saw how art was served on a plate. Eventually, her internship turned into a year and a half contract, teaching her how much she loved to cook. It also made her “hungry” for information, so she began to broaden her horizons as a chef.
Nicole said that while she was excited about the ability to fly, she realized it wouldn’t allow her to express herself creatively the way she wanted. As a chef, she can continue to experiment with technique and creativity. The Hell’s Kitchen contestant described her early days of cooking as “difficult”. She revealed on the show that she had some fierce competition in her early days. She said, “You have to be smarter than them and sabotage them. You have to rely on yourself.
It’s hard for her to enter a major tournament as a chef. She said she felt the urge to strip away her femininity because she seemed “very young” at the time. The Hell’s Kitchen chef went on to say that she has to act like a man to be respected.
Nicole Gomez has come a long way and she often shares her amazing work and process on Instagram. She made a name for herself in the profession by serving up masterpieces after seeing the art served on a plate for the first time. He will now appear in Hell’s Kitchen. Her work in multiple kitchens may have helped prepare her for Gordon’s rampage, but this experience certainly won’t be like any other.
