Meet Nuri Muhammad who will be in Season 2 of the Next Level Chef!
Nuri Muhammad, also known as “Chef Stretch” in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is one of 18 contestants who will compete in the upcoming season of Next Level Chefs. According to a 2022 interview with Vogaye Baltimore, the chef began experimenting with the kitchen very early on. He said he was too nervous to wait in the kitchen while his mother took care of his sister and would usually get her own food.
In the interview, he said:
“I would prepare a box of juice, some cheese, crackers and grapes for family commitments. They would look at me in the car and wonder why we didn’t think of that. watch Gordon Ramsey, Chopped, Iron Chef and Cutthroat The After School Kitchen My afterschool entertainment includes cooking shows.
The contestant of The Next Level Chef season two said he often helps his mother in the kitchen as part of their contribution to their home. His sister was in elementary school when he started high school, and he would cook her snacks after school and go get them for her, adding his own touch. Nuri spoke to WTOP about his experience in the upcoming episode, saying it exceeded his expectations. He said that spending time on set, filming, and doing everything it took to make the series an experience made him feel like a real celebrity.
According to a cast member of Next Level Chef Season 2, the lowest floor, the basement, is “a complete mess.” He went on to say that the basement contains the most miserable dishes and utensils that other chefs refuse to use. The chef went on to praise Gordon Ramsay, calling him “the best guy”. He mentioned the chef’s approach throughout the show and mentioned the mentor composition. Chef Ramsay, who was often tit-for-tat in the previous series, has taken on a mentor role in The Next Level Chef.
Nuri stated:
“It’s kind of a weird pretense and then real cameras, real people and chefs appear in front of you and you have to cook and talk without looking like an idiot.”
Next Level Chef Season 2 premieres Sunday, February 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET, shortly after the Super Bowl, before returning to regular airing on Thursday, February 8, at 8: 00 p.m. ET on Fox.
