Pete’s dreams of becoming a designer of distinctive homes began at a very young age. After reading a book detailing the project he was about to undertake, his determination to succeed as a builder was strengthened. After a short time, he finished his first project, which was located in Colorado Springs. Here he continues to construct related projects and write books. He founded and owns Nelson Treehouse & Supply in Fall City. His wife, their three daughters and other family members work for the family business he built. He was inspired to write five more novels in 1994 after reading The Art and Craft of Living Without Difficulty.
His new book is called “Be in the tree house”. This book includes illustrations of finished projects of a similar nature as well as an explanation of all elements related to construction. He founded the Tree-House Workshop in 1977. He succeeded in opening Treehouse Point, a bed and breakfast, in 2006. In 2011, as his reputation in the area grew, he founded the Nelson Treehouse and Supply Company. This company served the needs of supply, construction and design.
