Owen and Peggy have Peter Kenneth Frampton in Beckenham, Kent, UK. His father, Owen Frampton, was a teacher and head of the arts at Bromley Technical High School, which Frampton had previously attended as a young student. He first became interested in music when he was 7 years old.
Later, he taught himself to play the piano and guitar. At the age of 8, he started taking classical music classes. Cliff Richard and the Shadows, American rockers Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran, as well as the Ventures, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles were a major influence on him during his early years.
