Meet Sonika Vaid, a junior realtor, ahead of the launch of Buying Beverly Hills.
27-year-old Sonika gained notoriety after finishing fifth on American Idol. She was just 20 years old at the time. Tristan McIntosh was in the running for a position in the Top 5, but her stunning rendition of Demi Lovato’s Let It Go knocked him out. Sonika’s usage of the stage and props was what made her performance that night remarkable, with Jennifer Lopez complimenting her and saying:
“She was alive.”
Lopez went on to say:
“You are a warrior.”
Other judges praised her as well, with judge Harry Connick Jr. noting she did a better job. Keith Urban, another judge, praised her usage of a wind machine, which blew her hair back throughout the song and made her appear stunning. Following her involvement in the program, she produced her own songs and gained notice from media such as Radio Disney! E! News, Entertainment Tonight, Cosmopolitan, and others. She relocated from Boston to Los Angeles with the intention of pursuing a career in the music business, but she quickly found her love for real estate.
Sonika was also seen in Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
She started working for The Agency as an executive assistant in 2019 and was promoted to junior real estate agent after a year of hard effort. Her academic credentials include a Business and Marketing degree from Boston University. The Buying Beverly Hills cast member came raised in a real estate family and has always been interested in design and building. Sonika, according to her profile on The Agency’s website, has assisted the firm in earning $680 million in sales in 2022 alone. Her bio also stated:
“Her charisma and charm make her a tremendous addition to The Agency and assist Sonika in closing deal after contract.”
