After Good morning America host was spotted holding hands with TV personality Amy Robach in upstate New York in November 2022, Holmes and Fiebig Holmes officially filed for divorce that December.

“It was two adults who were separated,” a source previously told PEOPLE of Holmes’ relationship with Robach, who married actor Andrew Shue in 2010. “They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other. only after that.”

In January 2023, Fiebig Holmes’ attorney shared a statement with PEOPLE saying, “TJ’s attorney and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously, and as amicably as possible.” The divorce was finally settled in October 2023.

She was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Fiebig Holmes was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where her mother is from, and where her father served in the peacekeeping forces.

“Our family moved to the United States when I was 5 years old because my mom wanted my siblings to take full advantage of the educational opportunities she didn’t have growing up in Africa,” she told Marie Claire.

She added that the experience of moving to the United States actually inspired her to pursue a career in law. “I was watching my mom go through the immigration process, she was married to a US citizen, she had dual-citizen children at the time, and so that whole process affected me.”

Fiebig Holmes also used her law degree in the world of fashion. Billing herself as “Fashion and Entertainment Executive” in her Instagram bio, she served as Vice President of Operations and General Counsel for Wilhelmina Models, helping the modeling agency bring models to the United States.
