Guy’s Ultimate Game Night, Food Network’s newest culinary program, will premiere on August 31st. Tara Lipinski, a 40-year-old globally famous figure skater and 1998 Olympic champion, is one of the celebrities competing in the program. The upcoming program will feature well-known candidates from various disciplines who will compete for the main cash prize in exciting culinary tasks. The winning celebrity contestant will receive a cash prize and will be able to donate it to a charity of their choice.

Guy’s Ultimate Game Night’s Tara Lipinski has been skating since childhood.
Tara Lipinski, born in Philadelphia, started rollerblading when she was three years old in Sewell, New Jersey. She won the elementary girls’ freestyle championship at the United States Figure Skating Championships at the age of nine. Lipinski became the first skater to complete a triple loop/triple loop combination at the age of 13 – a key aspect of her performance. She is the youngest person in history to be an American, world and Olympic professional champion. In 1999, she won the World Professional Figure Skating Championship at the age of 17.
Her greatest sporting achievement was winning the gold medal at the 1998 Nagano Olympics, making her the youngest individual gold medalist in Winter Games history. Tara became a pundit for NBC, NBC Athletics and Universal Sports after building a reputation in sports. Tara Lipinski: From This Moment On had her own primetime special, which led to numerous TV cameo appearances and acting jobs on primetime shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Malcolm in the Middle, Veronica’s Closet, 7. sky and Mladi i mladii Restless, among others.
She said on her website about her transition from athletics to television:
“The transition from competition and skating to professional performance and entertainer/actor was just natural for me.”
She continued, saying:
“Acting has a similar feel to skating and it was incredibly fulfilling when I was getting jobs based on my ability rather than my name.”
What exactly is Guy’s Ultimate Game Night?
Hosted by Guy Fieri and Antonia Lofaso, the program features celebrity participants practicing their culinary skills in a live studio setting. Guy’s Ultimate Game Night combines discussions, cooking and games.
According to the official synopsis of the show:
“The new game show puts a culinary twist on traditional parties, with celebrity contestants competing in front of a live studio audience to win prizes for their favorite charity.” Chef Antonia Lofaso oversees the entire competition, as celebrities interact with food in a hands-on challenge and put their culinary skills to the test with quizzes and riddles. They have to be on their guard because they never know what Guy might throw at them. Let the fun begin!”
