#YesYouCan is the community service program of Miss Georgia 2023.

Miss Georgia 2023 stood out from the rest thanks to the socially useful project #YesYouCan. It’s about overcoming the negativity that surrounds the concept of failure and giving it new meaning.

Tara said in her victory speech:

“Through #YesYouCan, I was able to provide scholarships to students and help others develop the skills needed to persevere in the face of life’s toughest challenges.” I really want to change the way we think about failure and turn it into an opportunity for improvement, not something to be afraid of.”

She went on to say that one of the most wonderful aspects of her program is that anyone, regardless of age, background or demographic, can relate to and profit from it. She further said she plans to roll it out to schools in Georgia. Tara also attributed her victory to her own perseverance, saying:

“When I was 11, I realized the value of persistence because I competed in a competition and it took me nine years to win.” He taught me how to fail gracefully and succeed with modest goals. He taught me why the journey is much more important than the destination.”
