Thomas Edward Yorke was born in Northamptonshire, England, on October 7, 1968. His father was a physicist and a salesman, and nothing is known about his mother. Thom Yorke has had a problem with his left eye since birth, and he has undergone several surgeries, none of which have completely resolved the problem.
Andy Yorke, Thom Yorke’s musician brother, is also a musician. Thom attended several schools, graduated from Abingdon School, and then wanted to study at the University of Exeter, but he claims he couldn’t even apply for it.

Thom Yorke’s interest in music began as a child when he had a guitar and even built one. During his school days, he co-founds On a Friday with Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien, and Philip Selway. Thom worked as a DJ for a year after graduating from high school. In 1991, the band changed their name from On a Friday to Radiohead.
Thom Yorke and Radiohead released Pablo Honey, the band’s first album, in 1993. The album featured a few chart-topping songs in both the UK and the US. Two years later, in 1995, the band released their second album, The Bends, as they began to gain a large audience around the world, and they began to go on tours and concerts.
OK Computer, their third album, was released in 1997. Following that, Thom Yorke became depressed and stated that he was unable to write anything.
