The Voice, season 25
The new season of The Voice, an American TV show where people sing and compete, started on February 26, 2024 on NBC. Carson Daly hosts again for the 25th time. This season’s coaches are John Legend and Reba McEntire, who have been on the show before, along with rapper Chance, who took a break last season and is now back. Who made it into the top 9 on The Voice tonight?
Josh Sanders
Josh Sanders, of Team Reba, sang “White Horse.” Before singing, he said the song contained everything he loved about country music. On stage, he showed his love for music with a strong and perfect performance. He was not to sing again; his performance was good enough to get him into the finals.
Madison Curbelo
Dan + Shay’s Madison Curbelo sang “Time After Time.” She dedicated the song to her hometown of Westfield, Massachusetts, inspired by a past contestant, Javier Colon. Her performance was mostly good. Shay Mooney said Madison is someone he wants his children to look up to, someone who radiates life. He mentioned how incredibly proud he was to be a part of Tae’s journey.
Serenity Arc
Serenity Arce, from Team Chance, sang “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” and received a C. She is 17 years old and decided to sing an acoustic version of Ariana Grande’s song as a tribute to Jupiter, Florida. She sang beautifully and showed how tender a voice can be.
Maddy Jane
Maddi Jane, from Team Chance, sang “Greedy” and got a C. She started well, but when she started moving, her singing sounded weak. Her performance was fun to watch because she knows how to handle herself on stage.
Nathan Chester
Nathan Chester, from Team Legend, sang “Try a Little Tenderness” and got a five. He chose a great song that showed his love for his hometown of Chicago. He sang Otis Redding’s classic song perfectly and showed that he is not only a star, but also more than that. Nathan has so much charisma and his voice is amazing. It was as if he came from heaven.
Bryan Olesen
Team Legend’s Bryan Olesen sang “Against All Odds” and received a C-. John said: “I loved it. We all loved it. I really felt you connecting with the lyrics. I loved how you held each note patiently, subtly and gracefully. It made the performance so beautiful, effective and moving.”
Karen Waldrup
Karen Waldrup from the team Dan + Shay sang “Stay” and got an A. Her coaches wanted her to show more emotion in her performance, and she did it perfectly. Not only did Karen sing the song well, but she acted it so well that it could lead to an acting career. After a lot of average performances earlier, hers was really good. Shay praised her for showing her emotions, especially since she was wearing a sleeveless dress.
Asher HaVon
Team Reba’s Asher HaVon sang “Irreplaceable.” He talked about how growing up in Selma, Ala., taught him to overcome challenges. Reba said: “You come out and sing this Beyoncé song, I’m absolutely proud of you. You brought me down. Your performance on stage was magnificent.”
Tae Lewis
Dan + Shay’s Tae Lewis sang “Amazed” and got a B+. He sang it in his hometown of Goldsboro, NC. His performance was good, showing off his versatile voice. Dan said it was iconic. Shay said, “You can’t send this man home. You’ve fought for every bit of success you’ve had on this show.”
