Elton John and David Furnish recently testified in favor of Kevin Spacey during the actor’s sexual assault trial, currently underway in London.
The hit singer, who was recently honored for his performance at Glastonbury, appeared in court via video link with his wife to discuss Kevin’s attendance at the annual White Tie and Tiara Ball, aiming to the purpose of raising money for the fight against AIDS.

Kevin allegedly assaulted one of his pursuers on the way to the annual event in 2004 or 2005, however, Elton and David confirmed that the Baby Driver actor only attended their party once. times in 2001 – there is no record of him attending in both sophomore years.

According to the New York Times, Elton told the court: “He came with a white tie. He [flew] in a private jet and went straight to the prom.” When prosecutors double-checked Kevin was on a private jet, Elton replied, “I don’t think he wore a white tie on a commercial flight. .”

David added: “He’s an Oscar-winning actor and there’s a lot of buzz and excitement about him being at the prom.”

He also spoke to one of the complainants, calling him “joyful” and “kind”. According to The Times, he said: “He always had a cheeky smile. He’s a man from the East End of London whom you can always make friendly jokes with. He always impresses me as a very laid back and pleasant person.”
Kevin pleaded not guilty to 12 charges of sexual assault and indecency, brought by the four men. The actor was previously found not liable in a sexual assault lawsuit involving Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp, who accused the actor of assaulting him when he was a teenager. .

Talking about his career, Kevin (63) told Zeitmagazin that there are directors who would like to work with him if he is declared innocent. He said: “It was a time when a lot of people were very scared that if they supported me they would be fired. But I know now there are people willing to hire me as soon as I am acquitted in London. ..As soon as that happened, they were ready to move forward.”
He added: “The moment control is in place, these things will collapse. That’s what happened in the [Anthony] Rapp’s trial, and that’s what’s going to happen in this case.”
